Fundraiser for Black Lives Matter
and COVID-19 Relief
When public health data exposed the disproportionate impact that COVID-19 had on communities of color in the United States, Komal raised funds for the Know Your Rights Camp Covid-19 Relief Fund through Instagram. Putting her singing talents to good use, she accepted song requests from donors, created a cappella videos, and concisely highlighted relevant issues like police brutality, voter suppression, and mass incarceration to raise awareness and mobilize her following behind a united mission to acknowledge and spark conversation about racial inequities.

Partnering with Noble Ed, we aim to address educational inequities by providing versatile academic enrichment through STEM and arts-based classes to children in underprivileged communities locally and in India. Cognizant of the socioeconomic gradient of educational attainment, we are committed to raising funds to maintain children’s centers and provide academic scholarships, addressing the barriers impeding scholastic achievement. Through our joint initiative during the COVID-19 pandemic, we made face masks and shields to donate to the children’s centers, assisting teachers, students, and caregivers as in-person instruction and services resumed.
